Review - Attack of the Fiddies |

OK, there's a new kid on the block. I've been sitting back
kind of bored because I hadn't seen a new fiddie jump and crash video in a
while. Well, Attack of the Fiddies has arrived.
This could have been called Attack of the Killer Fiddies in the same theme as
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes because they are both equally ridiculous
notions. The only thing these fiddies are attacking are the riders on them..... and they do get attacked. Guy Cooper's Xtreme company sponsored
this baby so they get a decent amount of air time, but then we jump into a
serious sequence of back flips, both good and bad, and one of the best close up
back flip failures you'll ever see. This guy should be famous, he literally
belly flops him and his bike 3 feet from the camera. It's classic! Lot's of
great freestyling and free riding skills, and some wheelie bar exhibitions.
Cool sequences where anything's a racetrack. I'm surprised
they don't run through their bathrooms or through the local Kindergarden. Little bikes can get
into little spaces as we learn here.
I love racing footage. I like to see fast guys going fast.
I study them, try to learn and try to copy them. I'll never jump or backflip,
but I will always wish I could go faster. There is some good race footage in
here.
Coop and the gang travel to China and show the locals what
a bunch of rebels they are. I wish we had cops like they have here. When I see a
badge, it's going to cost me. But over there I didn't see one wrist get slapped.
Maybe is was staged, who knows.
So OK, now you've watched the feature part of the video.
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT
put this back in the box and file it away. The absolute best (and most
frightening) footage is buried on the extra features portion. Unedited, un-cut
and downright scary scenes that had me cringing before I knew he was landing in
the foam pit, or winching when they were coming up waaaay short on a jump. To me
this was the best part, even the comments the riders were making were
spontaneous and real. Live it and ride it like there's no tomorrow, because
maybe there ta-ain't.
If you have a birthday coming up and he's already tricked
everything out beyond repair, get him a fiddy video. You can never go wrong with
that one, and hopefully he stays out of the emergency room.
